The Land: From Cinnamon Plantation to Orchard Haven
Spanning over two acres, this property once thrived as a cinnamon plantation, reflecting the region's illustrious legacy of producing some of the world's finest spice. Today, it has evolved into a flourishing orchard filled with fruit-bearing trees—cashew, governor's plum, Ceylon olive, jackfruit, coconuts, bael, varieties of mangoes and much more—set against a scenic backdrop of lush paddy fields. Over the course of three years, the property was carefully renovated, preserving much of the original footprint to honor the home's heritage. A section of the original wall remains exposed in the living room, serving as a character-rich feature that bridges past and present. Drawing on inspiration from around the world, the owners celebrated Sri Lankan craftsmanship, blending traditional local design with modern elegance for a harmonious balance. From thoughtfully curated furnishings to graceful archways, every detail reflects their unwavering commitment to quality and comfort. Beyond the expansive living and dining areas, two tranquil study rooms invite reading, reflection, or remote work—underscoring the owners' dedication to creating a villa that meets the needs of every guest.
